What is the consultation process?
As part of an ongoing commitment to involve the Damascus community and stakeholders in this important project, a three-staged consultation program has been established to help in the development of design options for the Green Line route. The consultation is being carried out in several stages during the preliminary studies:
- The first stage was carried out in April / May 2008. Results of this first phase are available here.
- The second stage carried out in September 2008 focused on the presentation of the possible routes selected by the French-Lebanese consultants. Results of this second phase are available here.
- The third stage will start from January 27, 2009. The main purpose of this stage is to present the environmental and social impacts of the Green Line.
