Environmental impacts

A comprehensive environmental impact assessment is being undertaken in order to evaluate the likely positive and negative impacts of the project. This process is essential for such a major infrastructure, and will be a key element to reach the next stage of the project.

This project is predicted to have positive impacts on the environment and the quality of life in Damascus by reducing traffic congestion, noise and air pollution.
