Success for the Public consultation!
The Public consultation is in progress!
Up today, 18000 brochures and questionnaires have been dispatched in several points in Damascus. The consultation has been an important success, especially in Damascus University, which will be served by the Green Line: The students are strongly supporting this project, which will improve their quality of life.
People using micro-bus or bus in Somarieh and Qaboun stations feel also truly concerned about this major infrastructure: the Green Line will shorten their daily trips, by providing them a quick access from the microbus and Pullman stations to the city centre.
The Public consultation will continue till the end of May, and new brochures and questionnaires will be distributed, for example in several “Commercial Bank of Syria” branches:
- Branch no. 1: Moawiya Street
- Branch no. 2: Al Nassir Street
- Branch no. 3: Hariqua Square
- Branch no. 6: Youssef Azmeh Square
- Branch no. 13: Mezzeh Jabal
You can also find these documents on the website (in the Consultation section), and directly fill the on-line questionnaire till the end of May 2008.
Damascus Governorate would like to thank you for your participation.
Your involvement is a key element for the success of the Green Line project.
